Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves Brings back the cast of the 80s Dungeons & Dragons cartoon. During yesterday’s Hall H show at San Diego Comic-Con, Paramount Pictures showed an exclusive clip from the upcoming show. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves Movie. The clip showed Chris Pine’s adventure party facing off against two rival groups in a labyrinthine arena filled with D&D monsters. One of the rival groups was the adventurous party of the 80s Dungeons & Dragons cartoon. It wasn’t clear based on the descriptions from Hall H’s presentation whether the ’80s group had ever come of age, or if they were still kids as they were in the original cartoon.
80s Dungeons & Dragons The cartoon aired on CBS for three seasons and featured a group of kids from our world transported away to fantasy land, where they were given weapons that gave them powers. The show ended badly on a cliffhanger with the kids not officially back on our planet. Several D&D adventures and stories have referred to the adventurous group, either indicating that they all died horrific deaths or that they managed to live in the Forgotten Realms. The ad for a Brazilian car was the unofficial finale of the animation and showed kids fleeing to Earth with the help of a sports SUV, while Wizards of the Coast prepares to release a new starter set for Dungeons & Dragons which features adventurers who are “inspired by” the show’s characters but are not explicitly the same characters… despite wearing the same costumes and carrying the same weapons.
